How to Update/Upgrade AYS Pro Plugins

Would you like to have advanced settings and better chances at hand? If so, you’ll need this guide throughout your journey!

Each of our plugins allows you to perform better and take advantage of premium features. Next, you’re going to find out how to update or upgrade any of our plugins for a more delightful experience. I will take Quiz Maker, for example, and experiment with it. Anyways, note that the steps you’ll be following later refer to all the AYS Pro plugins.

1. How to download and install the Premium version

How to download the zip file of the premium version

To get the Premium version zip file of any AYS Pro plugin, you need to log in to our website. Now we’ll go into detail.

If you have already purchased the Premium version of the plugin, you can skip the first 4 steps.

1. Visit our official website and choose the plugin you want to purchase from the WordPress plugins list.
2. Choose the package that fits your needs and click on the Buy Now button.
3. Sign up by filling out the given fields and choosing the payment method.
4. Click on the Checkout button, then make a payment.
5. If you have previously signed up to our website, you now need to log in with your account credentials. If you made your purchase just now, then the system will automatically sign you up.
6. Come back to the page of the plugin.
7. Once you log in to your account, you will see the Buy Now button changed to the Download button.
8. Download the package to install it on your website.

Note: You can’t download the plugin without logging in to your account, as the Buy Now button, instead of the Download button, will be displayed for you.

How to install the zip file of the premium version

Check out the steps to install the downloaded zip file of the Premium version.

1. Go to the Plugins page, which is on your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Click on the Add New button.
3. Click on the Upload button and hit Choose file.
4. Then, click on the Install Now button.
5. With the last step, click on the Activate Plugin button.

That’s all. The plugin is successfully installed on your WordPress Dashboard.

2. How to Upgrade Free to Pro or from the Current Premium version to the Latest one

To upgrade any of our plugins to Pro, you need to uninstall the free version first. How are you going to do that? Let’s see!

You can also make a DB backup for your own safety before upgrading. For this purpose, you can use Updraft Plus.

1. Go to the Plugins page, which is on your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Find the necessary plugin and hit Deactivate.
3. To save all the content and applied settings, click on the Upgrade button.
4. Next, click Delete.

You’ve successfully uninstalled the Free plugin! Now it’s time to install the Premium one. Let’s go one by one and get the expected results!

1. Click on the Add New button on the Plugins page.
2. Next, click on the Upload Plugin button and hit Choose File.
3. Choose the zip file you have downloaded beforehand. (Check “How to download the zip file of the premium version”)
4. Continue by clicking on the Install Now button.
5. Finally, hit Activate Plugin.

Congrats! You switched to Pro just now!

You can also do the same to update your current Pro version to the latest one. The only difference between upgrading from the Free version to the Premium one and upgrading from the Current Premium version to the Latest one is the following.

After clicking on the Install Now button (Step 4), you need to hit the Replace current with uploaded. So, you have upgraded from the current Premium version of the plugin to the latest one.

3. How to Install the Agency Package of the Quiz Maker plugin

Please check the following information when installing the Agency Package on your WordPress Website.

The following package includes 2 zip files:

1. The zip file of the Quiz Maker plugin
2. The zip file of the 15+ addons, which provides functionalities, such as Frontend Statistics, WooCommerce integration, Chained Quiz, GamiPress Integration, etc.

Please note, that you need to install the Quiz Maker plugin zip file separately from the Addons zip file. In the case of the Addons, you need to unzip the downloaded zip file and find different zip files inside it. Then install your preferred addons separately (one by one) so that the site will not be overloaded.

For MacBook Users

As you already know, you need the zip file of the plugin to upload. But as for MacBook, the downloaded file is extracted originally.

To compress a file on your Mac, control-click it or tap it with two fingers. Then, select Compress from the shortcut menu. You will now be able to upload this zip file to your website.
